....So now 'still the story continues to unfold...
Susan & Rich took Mom at her request to visit the gravesite of her Mother "Nettie" sometime in the '80's' when Susan & Rich were married (1981). The reason for the visit was to arrange for a "Grave Marker" to be created & placed at her Mother's final 'place of rest' ...(next to Nettie's parents; Mom's grandparents) - now some '34' yrs. after her death... She passed in '1947' - this was now the "80's"...

This too is probably why Mom asked Susan (Jeanette) & Rich to assist in this endeaver.... for at last ... A Grave Marker! so many years later to be placed at "Nettie's" place of rest. Chestertown, Md.

Grandmom Nettie died a year or so 'before' Susan Jeanette Schauber was born. Mom had Charles, a boy in '47' but would be having child #10 - a girl after her Mother passed away at 54 yrs. of age . (The same age that Mary Ann passed away.) That is the most probable reason for Susan! the next girl born being named "Jeanette" - after Our Mothers' Mother! " Nettie Smith "

Mom was born in 1915 - Her mother "Nettie" would be 22 yrs. old - 'Mom' was raised by her Grandparents (Irene & Henry), they would have been 48 yrs. & 50 yrs. old when Mom was born.

Mom would be only 18 yrs. when her Grandmother died! at age 66 yrs. And 31 yrs. old when her Grandfather died at age 81 yrs. Nettie died just one yr. later in '1947' after her Father, " HENRY " Mom lost her Grandfather & Mother just one yr. apart - Mom was age 32 at that time.

Mom age 32 when her Mother passed away at 54 yrs. of age.
Mom would soon be pregnant with her # 10 child, a girl to be named "Susan Jeanette" after her Mother! ...Nettie Smith!!
...p.s. Makes You wonder how 'Henrietta' received her name! 'Henry' - Mom's Grandfather who raised her & Harry; Mom's favorite Uncle who she grew up with as a young girl. Hank being the 4th child of all Girls! - kind of makes sense... And not at all a common name!

One day, when questioning her name - Mom told Susan as a very young girl that she was named after her Mother, Nettie ! ... "Susan Jeanette"
Mom said, " Jeanette was my Mother's name" ...

Uncle Harry would be the son of Irene & W. Henry & brother to "Nettie" - our Mom's Uncle Harry who she grew up with as a child! He & his wife would visit us on River Road with their little dog - I think a ( Dachshund ) ...Those 'hotdog-dogs'. ...He loved to have his tail scratched... He would just go 'crazy' lol!
