All Souls' Day, also known as the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed and the Day of the Dead, is a day of prayer and remembrance for the souls of those who have died, which is observed by Latin Catholics and other Christian denominations annually on November 2. All Souls' Day is often celebrated in Western Christianity.

At the Family Reunion Gathering -Joan showed me this tree. She & Gene, Sr. were so proud of it. Genie had just passed the June prior (5 mo.'s) ...I asked if I could have her picture taken with the tree for the 'Renie Hotline" for all to share. She looked down and found Gene, Sr. sun glasses at the base of the tree. She laughed (her signature laugh-like only Joan could do) and said, "OH! ...Gene's been looking for these!

(If you look closely - she is holding them in her right hand)

It was posted on the 'Old Renie Hotline in "2013" - on Gene lll webpage... 💚 💛 💛 💛

All Souls Day was 11/2/20 and Margaret Mary & I attended a service at St. Paul's in DE. City. We carried candles to the alter in honor of the souls of Loved Ones who had recently passed. I was able to take the one with John G. Schauber Jr.'s name on it home.

Each day, I 'light a candle' at my altar and 'say prayers' to honor the souls of Friends & Loved Ones. 💙 💜 💚 💛 💙 💜 💚 💛 💙 💜

Now more than one hundred days since Our Dear Lord took Johnny (brother) into his arms and one month since All Souls Day; John's candle is nearly burned down. This is one very special month. The month we celebrate the birth of the Christ Child. And now, thanks to the blessings of Jesus Christ, we may see the end of this horrible pandemic. Merry Christmas & May God Bless Us All, Love, Susan Jeanette Stewart 💚 💛 💙 💜 💚 💛 💙 💜 💚 💛 💙 💜

...Godspeed my Friend!! for this Great Man, Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Nephew, Uncle, Cousin, Friend and so much more!!! 💛 Age of 50, a lifelong Delawarean, died on June 30, 2013, from renal cell carcinoma. Gene was a 1980 graduate of Salesianum School and a 1984 graduate of the University of Delaware. He was most recently employed by Glen Gery Brick Company, and previously at Delaware Brick. In his spare time he loved to golf and hunt - he was a member of Ducks Unlimited - and was an adept Mr. Handyman. When his son Danny was in elementary school, Gene coached St. Helena's C.Y.M. football. Since 1999 Gene had been an active member of the Caesar Rodney Rotary Club where he had recently finished a term as President. In recognition of his service to Rotary, the club recently named their annual scholarship at Padua Academy in his honor. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor even when he was at his sickest. Gene touched many lives and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He loved his family and taught his children many valuable lessons that they will always have with them. 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 Family, I think of all our Loved Ones that we have lost, all the time. I enjoy crocheting because I saw how much our sister Mary Ann enjoyed it. She was good at it. Our sister Joan donated all those years, delivering meals to people in need. They were sick, or just unable to do for themselves. I wish I could drive sometimes, so I could care for the elderly in some way. Well today I had both in mind. Rich and I dropped of about twenty crocheted hats and a couple of neck scarves. Now I know how Joan felt, and why she did as much as she could. It just feels good to do what you can do to help someone. Not long ago I was sitting outside a Dr. office while Rich was in for a check-up. I was crocheting and got into a conversation with a woman. She ask how I learned to crochet and said that she wished she could crochet. It seemed like I saw her before, and said "do you walk the mall". Sure enough that is where I saw her before. I told her that I like to crochet and because I lost a sister to cancer, I donate them to the Helen Graham Cancer Center. With that she said, "I bet I have used some of your hats. She spent nine years fighting 'Breast Cancer". OMG I said, that must have been Hell. Like she said, "there were times. So for Mom, Dad and all our siblings (I can not drink) but let us all raise a glass or coffee or tea cup to them for all they did to help others. Most of all, "Thank You Mom & Dad for teaching us just how important it is and how Good it makes you feel !!!! With Love and Blessings for all you do, Rich & Susan 10-14-22 💛
